Do my insurance policies have limits high enough to protect my Company from lawsuits?
General Liability and Automobile Liability Policies are generally available for Limits of $1,000,000 Each Occurrence. Higher Limits are available using an Excess Liability Policy, which provides coverage over and above the basic General Liability, Automobile, and Employment Liability Coverage. It is suggested a Company carry limits to protect the Assets of the Company. Some companies carry Excess Policies of $1,000,000, $5,000,000, $30,000,000 or more depending on their Liability and/or Contractual Requirements. You should contact a commercial agent to discuss the limits appropriate for you.
